Default Secondary battery

My secondary battery over heated and exploted. I just replaced it with a new one and that is also over heating. What would cause this? I haven't done anything different .

Thanks new member

Welcome to DF. Post this question in the Ram section.

That being said, I would look to see if there is a bared cable leading from the battery running to ground. Overamping can cause a battery to heat up. Anything happen before this started like a fender bender that might cause a cable to become compromised?

so the problem was a bad connection on the main battery and was only charging the secondary battery that caused it to over heat . all i did was sand all the connections and make everything tight.
