I have a really sweet running 86 P/U w/318 2 bbl Holly that I just put on in the last week. I am still having issues with this carb (dumping, poor fuel milage etc) typical things that come along with a carb. I am getting about 13 MPG.

The truck has 145K miles on it, I have gone through the motor and have it running like a top, timing retarded 3 degrees for mileage on highways.

I am considering either of 2 things to help out here;
converting over to a F.I. kit or getting a kit from a salvaged vehicle

or

Dropping a Magnum into it (but I have been told the trans wont bolt up to the newer style 318 blocks and the new trans stink)

opinions? hints? tips?
