Shifting

Figured out the shifting problem.The shifter linkage and throttle linkage were binding together,so the trans was (thinking i was smashing gas pedal)shifting really late.

very common prolbem on the 4 and 6 cyl 3speed transmissions since 1978 omni's came out with that design. it can be really frustrating but it's an easy fix
