New to the boards here. I'm hoping this will be a good place to pick up hints, tips, advice, etc about my Ram 1500. I went from a '96 Neon to a 99 Ram 1500. Talk about a contrast! Anyway, I'm not much of a "Car Guy", but I am thoroughly enjoying my Ram so far. Here are the details, as I understand them. Hehe

1999 Dodge Ram 1500
5.9L Magnum V-8
Extended cab (4 door)
Dual exhaust (Flowmaster)
Brand-new (as of today) Kenwood CD player
Heavy-duty towing package

My immediate plans are, in no particular order:

Get the rear window re-tinted (there are a couple of holes in the tint currently), and replace the drop-in bedliner with a spray-on (Rhino most likely).

Anyhow, that's about it. Looking forward to digging into these boards. Feel free to email me with suggestions, taunts, pictures, or whatever. :-)

 

Glad you found Dodge Forum. I too had a 96 Neon. One of the best cars I've ever had. Got 110K on it when I sold it.

Yep, I definitely loved my Neon. Mine had 137K+ on it when I traded it in for the Ram. The dealership gave me 1500 on the trade-in too!

I'm actually quite proud of myself. Today I removed, cleaned and remounted the drivers side wind deflector. You know, the thing that runs along the top of the window that keeps out wind and rain. Yeah, whatever that thing is called. :-) I'd never done anything like that before, and it came out perfect!

I'd better watch out - I'll be a car guy before I know it. :-)
