Have a 2006 ram 1500 w/factory HU want to add 4 ch amp.Took HU out (what a wiring mess)
1. do I need to add a line out conv.to wire hu output to amp (for speakers)
2.can I just splice into wires from HU and run wires to amp then back to all 4 speakers
3. does anyone have the wiring code for all these wires coming out the back?
Or...would it just easier (and better) to replace the HU...can get good ones for $200 now a days

From the factory head units that I've seen, I'd say it would be easier to replace it.
