Default New to DF, Tow/DD compromise

Recently purchased a 2006 Durango. I needed a tow vehicle (car on trailer, total about 5K lbs.) to also use as a daily driver. The Durango with 119 in wheelbase and huge towing capacity (5.7 Hemi, SLT) would allow me to step up to an enclosed trailer should I so choose. But I can also happily use it as a daily driver. Bought the 2006 (a little over my budget) for the engine efficiency, and get 21 MPG on the highway, 15+ towing an empty trailer, and 12-14 with a full trailer (only 14-15 around town). This is a bit painful after driving a Prius for 6 years (now my son's), but try towing a car with a Prius, or loading half your belingings into the back!

My other cars are 2 1986 911s (one I've had for 13 years and now for sale, the other recently built up as a race car--made street legal at significant expense then decided to get a tow vehicle and trailer

Live in the Maryland suburbs of DC.
