Default Hemi versus Cummings diesel

I have a 2002 ram 1500 with a 4.7 v8. I'm looking to buy a 35' Fifth wheel trailer. So i need to up grade to a newer year 2007 or 2008 dodge 2500 or 3500 ram but i am not sure if i should get one with the hemi or the cummings diesel. With fuel prices high but more torque with the diesel. Thanks for your help.

Welcome to Dodge Forum!! If I was towing a big load like that, I'd opt for the diesel...BTW, it's "Cummins", not "Cummings", just so ya know.

The diesel might get better fuel mileage too. I know the older ones did. I don't know if the extra emissions stuff lowers the mileage on the new ones much.
