Hi everyone need some help. New here and wanted some more info on getting my truck out of the 15.2 sec bracket in the 1\4 mile and into at least the low 14s. Have a Spectra cold Air system, Pacesetter longtube headers and Flowmaster mufflers at this time. (No tune at this time, not sure which is the best for my truck). Noticed once I have spent my last trans gear the truck just goes into what I call coast mode, which is about three quarter track. What upgrades do I need and what is the best tunner for this. Yeah playing with the notion of getting a 550 lift cam kit.(injectors and all). Any suggestions really need to kill a camaro which is at low 14s at this time.

 

Welcome to the site. I would look into ported cylinder heads, cam shafts, and a Diablo tuner. You can always lighten the truck up as much as possible, but a 1500 will be hard to make into a race car,
