Default Possibly new Dakota owner.

Hey all. Name's Randy. I currently have a 2001 Passat and 2002 Jetta, both 1.8T's. I have a buddy that offered to sell his 99 Dakota to me for...well, let's just say an insanely low price. The body is rough but it seems to run well. It has approx 190K on it. It's RWD and a V6. Anything I should look out for?

Looking forward to getting to know everyone.

Thanks. Already did before I registered. Now that I have more time I'll search through more thoroughly.

the best advice i can give is if you don't think it will make your friend mad take it to a shop and have them do a once over so you know what your getting into repair wise. Its may be better to decline his offer than to loose a friend over finding out the truck has more problems than you bargained for and you feel like you were ripped off. Lol

Thanks all. I'm actually waiting to have my dad go over he. He was a diesel mechanic when I was born.
