Newbie needs 4wd help!!

Hey i just joined, forum seems pretty sweet keep up the good work! I have 96 ram 360 4wd. My truck will not go in 4wd high or low. the transfer case works fine(the output shaft will not spin by hand when put in 4wd) I just replaced the vacuum shift motor on the front axle and i replaced the vacuum switch on the transfer case, but there is still no vacuum anywhere when tested and truck will not go in 4wd. the liht doent come on either, but without vacuum i can see why. Im ettin to the point where i just wanna give up. Any help???????????
nvm guys the main vacuum line off of the intake manifold was disconnected. reconnected and now i have 4wd! still no 4wd light tho
