Oil Gage problems please help

Unhappy Oil Gage problems please help

I have a dodge ram 1500 4.7 liter when i turn on my vehicle my check Gage light comes on and my oil Gage did not want to work. but when i turn it off and then on again it worked fine. It has been working off and on now for about week. is the Gage going or is there a lose wire somewhere?

take the wiring connector off the sender and ground it, then as you ground it watch the gauge, it should peg out when grounded if the wirings good. usually its a sending unit, also just check the wiring for any chaffing. even if there is a bare wire and it touches something it will react just like the test i told you about
