New Member Introduction - P. Butler
Hello. My name is Pat and I'm from Millington, NJ. I own a 2009 Dodge Charger R/T AWD. I come from a long line of Mopar family fans, my first car being a 1971 Dodge Dart (slant six - 250K miles), followed by a 1981 Dodge 024. As a kid growing up in the early 70s, my favorite cars were muscle cars of the Mopar variety. So it goes without saying that the 1968/69/70 Dodge Charger R/T was my ultimate dream car. After having owned a Dodge Caravan (kids) and Dodge Intrepid, I finally came to a point where I could afford to get a "real" Dodge - my 2009 Dodge Charger R/T AWD. I love this car (yes, I will provide pics in a later post) and look forward to enjoying this car for many years. It's my desire to have my son take ownership when he turns 18 in two years...if he can afford the gas!
Anyway, thank you for this opportunity to introduce myself. I'm hoping that I can post some of my questions here. For instance, I'm getting the dreaded "Service AWD System Soon...Contact Dealer" indicator. Now I know my way around standard car maintenance, but I'm not sure what this indicator really means. Is it indicating an actual problem or providing me a reminder that it's time to have a standard maintenance performed? Thank you in advance to forum folks who may have information relative to this issue.
