Default New guy from Michigan

Hello to all,
I have a 2001 Ram 1500 SLT Laramie 2-wheel/4-wheel drive, 5.2L 318, reg. cab w/8 ft bed, and I loved it the day I saw it! I got it used with 25k miles on it, back in 2002. It now has 135K+ on it. With this many miles, as most of you know, things start to wear out. Parts start to sing such aweful songs!
I google'd the issue I was having, regarding by-passing the A/C with a shortened belt, because the A/C bearings are singing a pretty suckie song right now, and this has lead me here! I am feeling better already!

I hope everyone has had a Merry Christmas, and hope that everyone has a Safe and Happy New Years as well!

Welcome to the site and i understand about bypassing the A/C because who needs A/C in Mich anyway.HaHa But really the A/C does help remove moisture from the cab when using the defrost so it might be a better idea to just fix the bearings that way if you decide to sell it later on at least the A/C will be in working order. Happy New Year.

Thanks! LOL Getting it fixed and/or replacing it, is a few months down the road. Like you said, its not really needed right now here in Michigan! So much for global warming...
