Hi I'm new here
Hello Everyone
I live in Kansas and I own a 1997 Dodge Avenger. It has a custom paint job that my father and I worked on together that has earned it the nickname "The Dragon" due to the wings on either side. It has a 2.0L Automatic engine and transmission. I am looking to upgrade to a 3.0L v6 which will come from my pocket. This is my second car, My first was a 98 Chrysler Sebring with a 2.5L v6 making it the second car that put out of commission. The Sebring is still in good shape, the body only has a few scratches from a barbed wire fence but has been a parts car sense I threw off the timing and bent the valves. Changed heads and now it is only slightly out of time. The first car was to be my sisters and i crashed it into a guard rail. I;'m hoping the work myself and putting up the money will force me to be more careful driving. Needless to say I avoid rock roads if I can. My dad owns a body shop and restores older muscle cars mostly MOPAR so working on cars is becoming more of a second nature. I am hoping to look for help as I have already seen a few posts with a conversion to a 3.0. Thats about it, I hope to learn a lot.
