Cruise control problems,04 diesel

I just bought this 04 ram and the cruise will work when you first start it, then it won't work. If I stop stop and restart the engine it works for 30 seconds. Can Any one help, Thanks Jack, gto1buf@yahoo.com, cell # 920-279-6504
