Dodge lover from way back
Hi, My name is Darrel, I am happy I found this forum. I have been a Dodge fan for many years. I once owned two 1971 Dodge Chargers at two different times, one had a 318 engine the other a 383.
I WAS the proud owner of a beautiful metallic blue 2001 Dodge Ram 1500, v6 engine and automatic. I owned that truck over 5 years, just bought new tires and a tune up, only for it to get demolished in a f5 tornado on may 24th, 2011 along with my home. The insurance covered my home, but not my truck, which was beat beyond recognition. I sold it to the salvage yard for $350.
Devasted, I kept an eye out for another Dodge Ram truck. I could only afford to buy one for $2,000. I was amazed to find many people trying to sell JUNK trucks for that price! I came across a 1995 Dodge Ram 1500, 318 v8, 5 speed tranny. They had put 20 inch wheels on it from a 2006 dodge on it-looked sharp. Seemed to drive good, no leaks, so I bought it. Today the rear axle went out (I think) and now sits at a garage. UGGGGHHHH!
