If Your A Newbie, Post And Introduce Yourself
Hello, from across the Pond. I've just got myself a nice black Dodge Avenger SXT. Witha 2.0 diesel engine. Here in the UK, Dodge is more or less unknown. I told a friend I was buying a Dodge and he said "Is that a Japanese car ?". So it was good to find this forum with so many people on it - even if you are nearly all 4,000 miles away.
Here in the UK (and probably Europe too) we get a choice of 2.0 or 2.4l petrol or 2.0l diesel engines. Despite having always thought Diesel was just for tractors - I've had to go for the diesel to get a few more mpg. With petrol now at £1.20 per litre - (near enough $2.40) it's was costing me a fortune to get to work, so hopefully now with this efficeint diesel engine - in a car that looks a darn sight better than any tractor - will save me a bit.

Greetings,
I am new to this site. I have several vehicles, 03 Dodge Durango R/T witha 5.9. It is black with chrome wheels, ram air and K&N. Flowmaster to mellow it out a bit...love it! A 98 3500 series van which we use with a H/C lift for our foster children and a 01 PT Cruiser that my wife drives.
Several other older projects. Two of them are my, 52 Concord fastback and a 49 4door Special Deluxe. Both of them are very rough and will not see concrete for a while.
I have followed hotrods since high school. My first ride was a droptop 49 Plymouth in Grand Island, NE. Drove many a Plymouth and a few hot rods too... in 2000 bought my first black SLT 5.9 Durango... Loved it.Got 18mpg on the road and less in town. Dropped a upper ball joint while my wife was coming back on a trip from Oklahoma to Kansas City and scuffed it up to the tune of $12,900... Never handled right after the altercation with a bridge. I liked it so well, that I traded it for my 03. I have about 107,000 on it.
I'm looking forward to checking things out from time to time...
Mike B.

Hi all, name's Virgil. Long time Chevy lover, first time Dodge owner. Just purchased a 2001 Ram 1500 Laramie 5.9L gasaholic. I guess I just wanted to try something new. I know how well chevy trucks are made and I wanted to see what all the excitement was about a Dodge. I love the looks of the Dodge. I wish I had some pics of it to show ya'll. I hope it treats me as well as my Chevy has treated me for 12 years and 154,000 miles. I guess that's all, looking forward to making some friends on the forums.
Welcome to Dodge Forum, Virgil!! Enjoy the site and post some pics when you can!!
