Cool Motorhome Owner

Hello Dodgers! I'm David, but please call me Dave!

I picked up my 1988 Dodge Ram 2500 5.9 V8 4-Speed Automatic Motorhome last night, and I'm up nice and early today to get to work fixing her up.

I got her cheap because of the following:

Tires are badly cracked on the sidewalls
Engine runs badly, I suspect due to a gummed up carburettor due to sitting in a barn for 5 years
Exhaust is rusted very badly. To put it this way, you would have less holes in it if it were made from a sieve!
Starter motor doesn't catch on the first time usually
Alternator belt snapped and hasn't been replaced

Firstly I'll tackle the engine, as once I get it running sweet, I can do the rest of the work knowing the main thing is out of the way.

Hopefully a clean carburettor and some fresh fuel will get her running well, but who knows, she could go either way.

Though, she is a Dodge, so I have faith in her
