Default New here with a new to me ram

First off I just like to say thanks for all the great info you guys have compiled here. Been lurking for a long time but first time posting. Just like many of you guys my blood runs Mopar! However Im now having some issues that are stressing me out with my newer ram 2500 but I will get to that later or maybe in another post.

But first how bout some background. Ive owned 5 of the ram series trucks and still have 3 sitting in the driveway. Motors ranging from the 318, 360, and now the Hemi. I broke the 318 1500 down to the frame 4 years ago and rebuilt it from the ground up and it was a beast. Im talking this truck was a God among men. Put headers on it, dual exhaust, throttle body spacer, high flow cat, etc........ Then in late April of this year TN and north Ga had some brutal Tornado's hit and the Black Beast was laid to rest by an even bigger beast of a pine tree.
R.I.P

That aint gonna buff out!

Luckily my red ram was parked on the street and came out untouched.

Now here is some fun for you ram lovers. How bout a crushed 1500 having to pull the neighbors ford F-150 out of my yard when he tried to back down and pull my boat out. So just to recap this is my destroyed ram 1500 pulling an F-150 attached to my bass boat hahahahaha FYI I didnt even spin a tire, MOPAR!

Well once the sadness of this day/week/month was all said and done I needed a new truck and one just as tough as the Black Beast. I looked at the 3rd gen and 4th gen 1500's and honestly just wasnt impressed. I then stepped up to the 2500 Diesels and fell in love all over again. Im still kicking myself for what Im about to say but I settled for a 2500 3rd gen Hemi. As much as I love this truck and I'm sure many of you live by the Hemi. It is way under powered for a 3/4 ton truck, and eats up some gas like a fat kid eats cake, but hey it still looks sexy lol.

Black leather clean as all get out and clear car fax with a reasonable price. I jumped on it and right about now I am regretting it big time. As it currently sits in the driveway "looking pretty" while I drive my 1500 daily.

In steps the problems. A few small a few big.
1: The electric pedal adjustment when lowered compresses the gas pedal and shoots the rpms to 4k. Kinda dangerous! I set the pedals high and pulled the fuse on the electric switch. Still not happy it does that though.
2: Three months after buying it the alignment is way out of wake. It yanks to the right bad. Not pulls or drifts but YANKS
3: Basically fell apart pulling a honda civic back from Atlanta. (Intro into my next disappointment)

I picked up a car hauler from Uhaul that morning and the kid didnt attach the trailer correctly so long story short up pops the trailer and punishes my tailgate like Ike Turner beating on Tina. (not the trucks fault but come on really)
FYI Uhauls insurance is great. They are sending a check next week.

I should have called it a day right there but oh no I hook it back up and proceed to pick up the honda. Get it loaded and head out and this is where the 2500 let me down. It pulls horrible! It was either slow and steady or ***** to the wall. Going up hills was painful, when the speed dropped the rpms shot through the roof then back off then through the roof then back off. You get the idea. My 1500 pulls smoother than this with a bobcat behind it and this was a honda behind a 2500. Anyway moving on. With everything unloaded, claim filed with uhaul and headed home the Mickey Thompson driver side rear tire explodes going 70mph like someone put a bomb under the tread.

Granted not the trucks fault again but wow I never even knew tires would do that. I called my insurance to file a claim and they suggested I file a claim with cooper tires as well for a manufacturer defect. So I filled the claim with cooper tires. Sent them the tire yesterday, got estimates for damage repair and am now waiting with on a response with my new to me ram 2500 sitting in the drive way.

Phew that was long winded lol but I will need tire recommendations in the near future as well as exhaust and performance parts ideas. If it never runs the way I want it to then at least my youngin enjoys playin in it.

Thanks for reading guys!
