Default new member on a mision

Hello from a new member. I own a 1999 Dodge Dakota that everybody keeps telling me to trade off but I like my little truck! There's no way I'm going to do that! I know it needs some work, and that's why I went and got the parts for the front end work ( upper and lower ball joints, shocks, rotors, brake pad). All have been replaced except the lower ball joints. I have a ? about them maybe someone can answer for me. Why are the upper ball joints bolted on but the bottom are riveted?

Welcome aboard jv007tx! Stay tuned - a Technician (or member) will jump in shortly to provide a possible solution. In the meantime, don't forget to browse Sub-Forums: Dakota for stuff related to your ride.
