Default Hawaii Dakota 4X4

I bought a used 2006 Dakota Quad cab 4X4 with a V8 (not the HEMI).
Been using it for a year.

Here on the Big Island we get a lot of use of the 4 wheel drive. Almost everything is up or down and nothing is as close as would think on an island.

Had a few problems (I'll share later) but the truck has been a pleasure to drive and I've never been stuck! The truck has 60K miles on it and is an automatic.

I started out as a Ford front-end and break mechanic but left that trade 30 years ago to go into the electrical trade which I retires from.

The 3rd Gen Dakotas didn't have a Hemi available as an option, only the 4.7 V8, some with High Output versions. At least you don't have the 3.7 V6!

See you in the 3rd Gen Dakota section of the forum. Welcome aboard.
