replacing stock shift knob for an aftermarket one?

Default replacing stock shift **** for an aftermarket one?

i'm a proud owner of a new 05' ram 1500..question , i want to replace the stock shifter **** with an aftermarket one(6-speed). the stock one doesn't not turn(i don't want to force it, if it's a one piece mold? can anyone help me with this, thanks

Welcome to Dodge Forum.

Take a small screwdriver and pop the gear pattern indicator button off the top of the shift ****. Underneath is a nut that holds in on.
