I recently purchased a used 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT LARAMIE. it is a 4-door extended cab. I was looking for good deals on add-ons that will give decent increase in both torque and horsepower, while remaining low-cost and easy to install. The motor is a 5.2L 318 cu. in. I am still in high school and makin my own truck payment so i don't really have a lot of money to invest right now, but i'll appreciate any and all response.

 

If you already purchased it, what kind of advise are you looking for? I own a 1999 Dodge Ram Sport 4x4 ext cab 5.2 L 5 speed. Im pretty happy with it so far. Is yours 4x4? If so, the 2" leveling kit from skyjacker is a pretty good purchase. www.solidsteel.ca sells a steering brace that is a great improvement if your going to add bigger tires or want to stiffen up the steering.

 

yes, i am happy with it so far and it is 4X4. i will look in to the leveling kit and i was also looking for something to take some of the play out of the steering. i'd also like cheap performance enhancers. i'm not plannin on doing any suspension lifting because i will be towing quite often, but i am considering a 2-3" body lift.
