Removing 2012 Dodge Journey Rear Seat Headrests
I became aware of the Forum while searching on Mozilla Firefox for information about removing the rear seat head rests on my newly purchased 2012 AVP Journey. The posts suggested that one would have to use a small diameter wire and find a small hole on the "slave" post. Turns out it is easier on the rears. While you have to do that on the front seat headrersts, there is a push button on the slave post on the rears that need only be pushed in while also pushing in the locking mechanism on the left post.
We rarely have anyone riding in the rear seat and having removed the rear headrests greatly improves visibility to the rear.
I checked with the local Dodge dealer and they didn't offer any advice on removal. I think the problem may be the front headrests, that are tied in with the active restraint system.
