hi all im new here as a registered member ..
now i have a few questions for you hopefully someone can give me some insight . my dad passed a 1989 dodge w 250 to me when he passed earlier this year he had done a major amount of work to it it now has nv4500 dana 60 front and rear but he was in the process of building the new engine for it when he died . now on to my issue i got the engine finished and installed in the truck it runs great for about 2 to 3 miles then it acts almost as though it is vapor locking it back fires in the exhaust and dies . if you turn the key off then back on it will start right back up sometimes it will run for a few minutes sometimes it dies almost instantly . it does not show any codes . and it was not doing this before the engine swap i checked the fuel pump for flow and pressure it was a little low so i replaced it and it seems to have made the problem worse . any suggestions or help would be greatly apreciated this thing is driving me crazy . but i would really like to finish the truck in memory of my dad
