Default 2004 Ram 1500 4.7L Cooling system wows

First off hi, new to the forum and am glad to see that it seems to be a great community.

I own a 2004 4.7l Ram 1500 and am having one heck of a time with the cooling system. After reading several posts and trying several of the suggestions I am still coming up with the same issue. 2 weeks ago I replaced the water pump and clutch fan (second one in the last 2 years) and a week later it started to run a bit hot but since I drive 2 or 3 miles a day it never really had a chance to get too hot. Last night I was driving on the highway and it got all the way to the red line and the "check gauge" light came on. Turned on the heater which brought the temp down a bit and limped home. Replaced the thermostat and attempted to bleed the system (bleeder valve) but it is still overheating. No more air bubbles from the bleeder valve and levels are good, any ideas?

I posted this in the Durango forum by mistake so sorry for the repost
