I'm new here. I spend a lot of time on VW pages as I am in the last stages of restoring my fathers 65 VW bug. Next will be my 69 Chevy Nova, but until then I must keep my little 85 Dodge Ram 50 running. It's like the Energizer bunny, it just keeps going and going.

I have developed a strange issue on the truck. My battery light came on and wouldn't go off even after taking the key out. Finally the battery went dead. I replaced the battery and have been driving it but when I start the car the battery light comes on. If I rev the engine or step on the break the light gets brighter. If I just drive the light almost goes out. I have been driving it like this for almost 2 months but I know I will soon be in trouble. Any ideas what is going on?
