A couple weeks ago my parents picked up a 2000 Dodge Neon for my sister to learn on and for me to drive for the winter. It's a pretty solid car, but it's got an oil leak somewhere, and it could use new paint because what's on it has about had it. Here it is:



I'm the very proud owner of a '05 Mazda6i MTX Hatch. I'm glad I have a different car to drive in the wintertime, because we learned the hard way that MTX Hatches are difficult to replace. My Mazda the day we picked it up:



No plans to mod the Neon as it will probably get traded in this summer, but I can't wait to start on my 6.

I'll probably have bunches of questions in the future, but for now I only have 2: Is the Neon a 4 or 3 speed ATX, and if it's a 4 speed, will shifting it to "2" put it in 2nd gear, or bump it down to 3rd?
