Default 99 ram 1500 won't crank

Howdy y'all, I've recently crossed over and bought a dodge, it was running fine and I parked it last night, I went to go to work today and all she did was spin but wouldn't ever crank up, I pulled one of the plug wires and put a screw driver in it and held it to see if it was getting fire and it was, poored a little gas down the throttle body and she still wouldn't crank, and I know it's got compression because I tested it when I bought it a few weeks ago, what else could it be?
By the way it is a 99 dodge ram 1500 with the 5.2
Thanks yall

Does it crank or crank but wont start...if it doesnt crank try grounding the engine with a jumper cable from the neg - terminal...if it does crank its more than likely a crank sensor. if you have a scan tool you need to crank and see if there is engine rpm...but its more than likly a bad crank sensor as with dodge
