Default think i have a vacume issue

When ya romp on the engine, going up a hill or speeding up quickly, the blower changes from the dash vents to the defrost, then when the rpms drop it goes back to normal. The 4 wheel drive seems to work, and the transfer case shifts fine. The engine seems to load up and stall if ya hit on the breaks hard as in a sudden stop but it also hasent been driven much in last 6 months. Im not sure but it seems like a vacume leak issue. It has 225k on it. Any ideas would be helpfull. The headlight switch will need replacing ( should fix it lol ) but really thease seem to be the only issues with the truck i need fixed right away

Put a one way valve on the vacume hose....sorta like the ones for fish tanks so the air only goes one way try that

Default A/C Heater Vacume

The system should have a vacume check (one way) valve.
It's designed to keep vacume to the system on hard accelleration.
Without vacume the mode door defaults to the defrost position.
The vacume line/tube/hose usually comes out of the firewall throught
the opening for the A/C Expansion Valve/Block (H Valve).

You have "wild vents", do a search in the 2nd gen Ram section for that. Plenty of info out there. A common problem. Welcome to DF!
