Default New around here

Hello.

In a few weeks, I will receive my brand new 2013 Grand Caravan R/T. This will be my first Chrysler product ever.

I never wanted to drive a van. But with childrens, priority changes.

(You may already have noted writing in English is not easy for me. I'll do my best).

I already have a 2009 Ford Focus SEL 5 speeds manual. After 21 years of driving the Grand Caravan will be the first thing I'll drive auto.

My wife will keep driving the Focus, and the GC will be use when the weather is too bad for my to walk or take my bike, or for the long family trips.

I joined because there might be interesting things for me on that site.

It's been 3 weeks since I've got my van. Not driven much, but the kids love it.

Welcome to DF! At least you got the man-version of a minivan (R/T). I found out when I was just starting a family, there is no substitute for a minivan with small kids. I drove a truck, but there was always a minivan in the mix that my wife would drive. Check out the Caravan sections. Lots of good info there.

Tanks.

As for the R/T being the "man-van", I've learned it after I order it. I order the R/T for the upgraded suspension after I tested a Crew and was disapointed with it. At least with the R/T, it doesn't dive forward under hard breaking.

I want to keep it 10 years.

And I'm getting used to drive auto. Just wish the GC could be order with a stick.

Welcome to DF! Enjoy your new ride. I'm sure it won't be too hard getting used to an auto tranny.
