is there a chip or something to help with gas mileage in 2001 1500 v8

I was told I could get a performance chip that would help with getting better gas mileage in my 2001 1500 xcab v8 4x4.

Don't believe everything that you hear. Those 'chips' are absolutely worthless, you'll simply be throwing your money away..
