Hey all, I'm new to owning trucks and literally know little about them short of common knowledge and at home repairs. Due to financial problems I had my car repoed, so I bought a 1999 dodge ram 1500 v8 magnum with the 5.9. I did my research on it, it has 200k miles but the transmission and engine were replaced right before I bought it professionally. I looked it over before I bought it and it seems very solid, mechanically speaking, the dash is broken and needs to be replaced but my purpose here is to ask this question:

What upgrades or after market parts can and should I buy to make the most out of this vehicle? I'm willing to do what I need because I have always had a fixation with trucks being as I've spent most of my life in the Texas backcountry. I'm currently on the path to getting a masters in applied mathematics, and I'm looking into actuary work, engineering, or physics. So I won't have time to do a lot of work with it, but I'd still like to get the most out of this vehicle,
