Default 90 Dodge 250 PU 5.2 sputtering (kickback) issue

Hello
I just bought a 90 dodge 250 ram 4x4 that runs very well.
It is a 5.2 fuel injection with 150K+ miles
Starts right up. Idles though with a slight miss.
Take off and it will run well. Will sputter (or kickback) thru the fuel injection unit at about 3 miles one time. Then drive another 3 miles and it will do it again one time. At about 2 more miles, it will start to do this about 5 times and then stop.
Stop and shut off. Return trip, it will repeat in exact opposite.
Changed distributor cap and added seafoam to fuel tank and put new fuel in.
Still does it.
Should I change fuel filter and plugs?
Or, is it an electrical issue with the trottle sensor?
Last night, coming in after a test run, it sputtered and died, yet restarted right up.
Any ideas what to chase would be greatly appreciated.

Could be a bad plug wire, or a cracked insulator on one of the plugs. Jiggle each plug wire while truck is running, see if anything happens, check insulators on each plug.
