Hi All,
I just picked up a '97 Dodge Ram 1500 5.9L CLub Cab SLT Laramie from a buddy at work. He took good care of it the few years he had it, put some money into it, new front end parts, radiator, plugs, wires, etc.
216,000+ miles and it runs strong, I am loving it!
I haven't had a Dodge since I had my '69 Dart with a 5.2L back in the '80's.
I looked around the net, and this forum seems to be the most civlilized/helpful one of them all, with allot of good info, so I pulled the trigger and quit lurking, and signed up!
A Little help, please
If anyone can point me in the direction of solving a small coolant leak I discovered, coming from behind the alternator area of the pasg. side, front top area of the engine, I would appreciate it! It doesn't seem to be the main hose, or the neck leaking, but maybe the temp sensor, or the heater hose? How would I tell if it was the Timing chain cover leaking?
It is not leaking allot at all, but I want to nip it in the bud, before it gets worse.
I don't have the tools anymore, and haven't worked on my own cars in years, but I guess I will have to take it in somewhere to have it checked out.( Dealer maybe?) I have had good sevice with my Nissan at the local dealer at fair prices. Not sure how the local Dodge dealer is here.
Thanks for having me!

This is just an intro section. People pop in to see the newbies and what they have but most of the questions get answered in their respective sections. Head over to the ran section and ask, you will get better responses.
