A friend was moving and her ex bf had an old worktruck in the woods. I could see this 97 covered with mold and moss. I called a buddy with a trailer and we pulled it out. No battery so we put one in. Found out starter was bad and put one in. Fired the darn thing up. changed the oil and started driving it.
It had no radio and nothing on the dash worked. spent hours trying to trouble shoot the dash, no good. took it to a shop, they spent 4 hours on it. Could not figure it out and did not charge me. I had a thought, put a radio in it and now the dash works with the exception of the dash lights and cruise?????
I'm in the Navy and got transferred from seattl to San Diego. I race corvettes so put a 75 on a trailer and hokked it to the dodge. started driving down and got into the mountains and started thinking.... 200,000 miles, abused work truck, 18 months in the woods... all i've done is change the oil....same plugs, same air filter, same belts and hoses. I was feeling pretty stupid. but she made it all the way.... and here I am in san diego, flushing the radiator, changing hoses and belt, giving her a tune up..lol
That brings me to this site. I have a 97 4X4 with a magnum 318. I want to add headers and duals, open up the breathing a bit and look into some other bolt ons.
