When the truck is in park I can rev the engine up to 3500 RPM's and it loses power and backs down to 1000 RPM while still holding the throttle down. When driving, you can get up to 2000 RPM and it boggs out and stays there. I thought it was a transmission problem and adjusted the bands, come to find out that wasn't it. Anybody have any ideas?

We need model, year, engine size, mileage, 2 or 4 wheel drive, etc. If its a 2nd gen Ram (94 - 01), please visit that section and read about the plenum problems that lead to symptoms you are describing.
