Hello. My Name's Brian, and I'm a Dodgeaholic. My first vehicle was a 1979 Dodge D-100 (in 1989) and I've had at least one dodge in the stable since. My current daily driver is a 2003 Cummins Dodge 2500 4x4 with the semi-basic list of mods. My upcoming project is my reason for joining this site.

My wife and I have acquired her late Father's 2000 Dakota Sport. It's a regular cab 2wd with the 3.9L V-6 and automatic trans. It's still in pretty good shape but I want to make it better. To honor my late father-in-law, who was a former Marine and racer/gearhead at heart, I'm planning on pro-streeting his truck. I pro-streeted my old '67 Camaro a decade ago (turned out great! wifey still wants to kill me for selling it) and I just finished a resto-mod 1946 Chevy truck, so this won't be my first rodeo. I've already decided a healthy 408 will sit under the hood, attached to a yet-to-be-determined automatic trans and a narrowed Dana 60. I'm hoping the members here will be able to help me with the more Dakota specific aspects of the build and maybe meet some new friends along the way.
