Default FNG from Kentucky

So I'm the latest FNG, figured I'd stop in and say hello.

My real name is Marcus and I live in eastern Kentucky. I'm an Iraq war vet, but have left the service (honorable discharge) and currently drive a school bus for the local board of education. My username comes from the fact that I like talking on the CB radio. I have one in my house, one in my truck, and one in the car. It's a very important means of local communication for me, as well as a social thing every evening with a dozen or so guys from around here that get on there and shoot the breeze.

My Doge vehicle is a 1999 Dakota, 3.9L V-6, 5 speed manual transmission, 2WD. I just rolled it over to 211,000 miles and changed the transmission oil in it this evening just for the heck of it since it hadn't been changed since I got the vehicle. I use it as my everything truck. It's my daily driver, scrap metal hauler, rescue truck, etc. I've got a toolbox in the back with all my tools including a 20 foot logging chain for towing (links as wide as my thumb) jumper cables behind the seat, power inverter with extension cord, etc. The funny thing is, I very rarely have issues with the Dodge, I am usually using those things to help other people or get work done.

I also own a 2006 Ford Taurus, but I've got it on jack stands right now replacing brake lines and a busted spring.

Here's some pictures of my Dodge Dakota.

Every time the engine starts, the house dog, my little boy, and my hound dog all want to ride with me. I started the engine to let it warm up for a second while I hooked up the trailer, and came back to this.

Latest project, hauling dad's busted lawn mower to the warranty repair place.

The bed of the truck. The black everywhere is my failed attempt at using rubberized undercoat to make a poor man's bed-liner. I plan on eventually cleaning it out and putting in an actual spray-in liner.

The inside of the toolbox I keep in the back.
