Default Owned my 'new' 1986 Ram for 72 hours

I bought it from a craigslist ad, its a '86 Ram with slant 6, automatic, AC, cruise control, full carpet, in short it was kinda loaded for a '86 pickup. Its still in its original faded paint, original glass, (nice windshield), original spoked wheels with trim rings, 91000 mi showing, and I believe it.
It was stored outside for at least ten years. The original owner was an old guy who died and it was kept in his driveway when he lost his ability to drive. I bought it when his adult kids sold his things in a sale. I had to tow it home, but after adding some fresh gas and a hot battery it lit right up, but runs poorly, it doesn't want to idle after it warms up. Motor has no bad sounds thank heavens.
So in the language of this forum it must be a gen-1 Ram? I will be needing info on the most obvious thing I see wrong--there are many tiny vacuum lines which are open, not plugged into anything. I guess they are lines which control the AC vents, and other vacuum-related items in the area (as you open the hood they are in the rear of the engine compartment on the passenger (left) side.
Please point me in the right direction to get info on where these lines should go. I try to be a "do-it-yourself-er" whenever possible and will need advice on tune-up tips as I go. We'll start there for now, any advice or commentary will be appreciated.
