Hi guys/gals,

found this forum while searching out information on the new (to me) 1st gen Dakota that I'll be picking up tomorrow. (or rather later today I suppose since it's 2am here)

I'm buying it with a few known issues that I'll need to address.
Needs all new ball joints
New Muffler, possible entire exhaust
Small hole in the frame under/behind the passenger door
current owner states that the truck will randomly shut off both while idling and occasionally while driving.
Some body rust to clean up and repaint.

I'm buying this truck primarily as a winter beater since at the moment, my only mode of transportation is my motorcycle.

I'm looking forward to having some fun fixing up the truck
