ooooo. . .a VT-903, worked on a many of them in the M3A2 Bradley fighting vehicle. I always wanted to try and split the pack, take the engine and re-power a hemmit. that DD 8v92 903 2-stroke is a POS in my eyes.

anyway, with the 5.9ISB it all depends on how deep your pockets run as to what you want to do. in stock form the engine is capable of about 450hp with few mods. put on a new turbo and the transmission will start to scream uncle. many people are constantly seeing numbers in excess of 800+ hp out of these 3rd gens. However, I do have to say wait till the 07's start comeing out. it is rumored a larger I-6 is going to be set between the frame rails to compete with the Duramax 360hp and 650tq.

again, this is only rumor but this engine that is suppose to begin in 07 is a 6.7L I-6 with a minimum of 700ft-lb, I havent seen any consistant hp numbers, but something around 400 is a possability. with the origional ISB in '89 starting out with only 160hp and 400tq to now the 06's have 325hp and 610tq. who knows how high of a number this new engine will produce over time.
