Full on newbie almost all the way around. Proud 3rd gen owner of a 2nd Gen 1998 Dakota 3.9L Magnum V6. This is my first truck and first Dodge. I traded my 98 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP to my Father-in-law for it who got it from his Father-in-law who bought it new from dealer. I have started to do some refurbishing of it and so far so good for someone who's not a mechanic. so far I have replaced: "New" Jasper Transmission (done by a pro at a shop), Front Rack, Power Steering Pump, Tensioner & Pulley, Distributer rotor & Cap, Plugs & Plug wires. Needless to say, I'm hooked and will be frequenting the vast knowledge and insights posted throughout this forum.
