Hey, My name is Ronnie Lee, I'm U.S. Army military Police stationed at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. I have the pleasure of owning a 98 Ram, 5.9, 4 door, 4x4...Red with black accents. I bought the truck in 2000, for $16000. It was a steal and I'm still glad I bought her...even if she decided to take a dump on me last year, on Christmas Eve. I was rough on her though and next week I am going to begin the process of tearing down the transmission and rebuilding it myself. I know that seems like a really huge project for a novice like me BUT...I have good friends who are willing to help me out.
I call my baby Faye...it's just a name between me and the truck...and the colors seem to fit the description. I'll post some pictures up...and keep a log of the Tranny rebuild so that I can help out others with similar problems in the future.
I call it Ram 2.0...because although mine is a second gen Ram....it's not the originial 2nd generation, 97 brought some minot cosmetic changes, and 99 brought more minor cosmetic changes so I like to think of mine as Ram 2.1.
Glad to find a forum like this for the Dodge people....

Welcome to DF!! I had the pleasure (sorta) of staying in the barracks out in Ft. Eustis, VA while I was on active duty in the Navy. That base was actually really clean I thought. But why in the world do you guys insist on getting up at 4am and doing a workout on the grinder! Jeeze, let us sailors sleep!!!

I used to be stationed at FT Myer in the 90's. I spent a lot of time at Belvoir while I was there. As a matter of fact I went to Air Assault School there in 92. I loved that area. Welcome to DF.
