Hey, I am Gene in Raleigh, NC. I have a 1998 Dodge Durango with 170k miles on it. This car has been very reliable for the family. We bought it used in 2002. The only work I have put into it besides oil changes are replacing front end components (steering, bushings, both calipers). I also recently replaced the radiator and the automatic belt tensioner. My son has been neglecting the vehicle for about 3 years which led to all the issues listed. I am very impressed with the engine being as durable as it has been. With the recent changes I decided to do a tune up and found that even with spark plug spacings wayyyyy off the car still was running very well. At any rate....I really like the 1st gen Durango....It is pretty much a beast that can do every job, albeit, not very economically. Best wishes to all.
