Can I put the fan on the outside of radiator? ( issue with fan hitting manifold )

 

Yes it shouldn't be a problem as long as you have. A place to mount it

 

no. the fan is made to fit and seal around the rad. thats why the fan has a shroud. secondly, if its turned the wrong way the fans will move air in the wrong direction. Install it as designed. With the upper rad support and hood latch removed... you couldn't get an easier fan to install.

Why re-invent the wheel?

if the manifold is hitting the fan...you probably have a bad engine mount. Watch for engine movement when someone shifts from reverse to drive...how much movement ya got? post a video.
