Glad to have found this Website! I have always owned Dodge trucks and this is my first Dakota. My last Dodge truck was a 3/4 ton which I had purchased from the State of Arkansas and it was a gas hog and had a pathetic 318 engine in it. I bought my Dakota on Ebay in January 2014 from an insurance broker in Twin Falls, Idaho. It was his deceased grandmother's and had 105K original miles on it. It had every option you could order that year and was in great shape barring the paint and the burn holes (Granny must have been a smoker). It's now almost 5 years later and I have 136K miles on it. The only thing I DON'T LIKE is the 6' bed which really limits what you can safely carry INSIDE the bed. Other than that I get 17-18 MPG on the highway and it cruises just fine with plenty of power.
