Default My new ,old ride.

Hi, DF. I had a 1994 Red 2wd ram . I loved that truck. Next one was a 1996 Ram king cab 4wd .I loved that one too. About 7 weeks ago i bought a 2010 Black Dodge Dakota. Its a 4wd 200,000 km. automatic , six cylinder ,4door. Purchased it from the original owner who seemed to take pretty good care of it.
BTW, this is the first time i have joined a Forum of any kind so please forgive me if i am posting the wrong information in the wrong places. I did read the rules and i am doing my best to navigate here. I guess i'm kind of old to be doing this but i need some help with the Dakota and several friends have suggested trying "The Net"
I live in Ontario, Canada and i purchased the Dakota, safetied . So, the good, it has 4 new tires, a new windshield, brakes were done not too long ago. The not so good,It only came with one key, the original radio didn't work, i found out on the trip home that the remote door locks didn't work ,the tpms light is on , and the biggy , it has an intermittent check engine light.
Sooooo, when i got home i you tubed the radio found it might be related to the door lock problem and a fuse used for storing the vehicle. ( who new? ) So next morning i did some looking and found that mice had got in under the fuse box under the hood and chewed several wires. So i repaired the wires, two problems solved.I purchased two keys off ebay got them cut at the hardware store in town and programmed at the Chrysler dealer in town. I looked into the tpms issue to find out the two rear wheels don't even have sensors in them , so that's a problem for another day.Last week i was backing the trailer in and lost power steering. Turns out the rack went. so i had the dealer do that, too big a job for me outside in the snow. So now I'm working on the check engine light and that is what brought me here. Now i think i need to find the area to ask the questions. Sorry for the rambling and thanks in advance for your help.
