Hello! I just found the forum I am Ian. I have a 1987 Dakota 2wd. She’s a little well used, but gets me from point to point. Today the gas pedal snapped off though so I won’t be driving her until I can source the part. I can’t find it anywhere it’s a plastic bracket. That’s kinda what led me here. In the morning I’ll make a proper post on it.

I don't think I've ever seen the pedal break off before. Where did it break? The pedal itself? The end where the cable goes? The cable at the throttle body?

It broke clean off the mounting bracket that was made out of plastic I went to depress it to choke it since the 87 is carbureted and the pedal snapped off the mount I’ve been looking everywhere and I can’t find it since it was discontinued I’m not sure if an newer pedal could be used I’ve found 98-04 pedals cheap but the mount for the cable looks different
