New Member - 2000 Dodge Dakota Crew Cab with 330K miles
We've joined this forum to research an issue with the blend door on our 2000 Dakota. Recently purchased this barn find for 600 dollars. 16 year old's first car. Paid for with his own money!
Mostly neglected, we have replaced all the window motors, several fuses, a battery, shocks ball joints and all front end parts.
Replaced the governor and solenoid on the tranny and the TPS, after which we are now getting all 4 gears. Shift points were a bit high, but the more we drive it the better it runs.
New air conditioner compressor caused us to face an issue with the blend door, which looks like a bit of a monster.
A serious miss and low compression on #6 has caused us not to drive it to Idaho to start college . Looks like a new motor soon, although he has driven it daily for the last several months.
Also going to do a color change from black to white. Found a bed at pull a part (Original has rusted out fender wells) and a nice chrome bumper.
We have a 2003 Dodge Neon R/T with 300K on it. Daughter drives it daily while attending Austin Peay University.
We also have a 1993 Town and Country with 160K original miles, facing down the Bendix 10 Brake System issue. Ugh. It's a toy.
We also have a 2014 Town and Country with 165K miles on it.
Looking forward to learning more about this truck! I'll post pics soon.
